At Cogito Learning Center, our small-group courses (maximum 6 students) are designed to strengthen core skills and deepen subject knowledge often overlooked in traditional classrooms. Each live Zoom class provides structured, content-rich instruction in an engaging, supportive setting.

Classic Novel Studies
In this engaging four-week online course, students will dive into a carefully selected novel that enhances vocabulary, reading stamina, and cultural understanding. Through thought-provoking written assignments, Socratic-style online discussions, and weekly reflections, students will sharpen their comprehension and critical thinking abilities.
Tailored to reading and age/grade levels, this course guides students through key themes, character development, and essential literary elements while fostering collaborative learning in a dynamic virtual classroom. Vocabulary Development
Words have the power to tell stories, inspire action, and shape ideas. In this engaging vocabulary development course, students will explore vivid, challenging words drawn from classic literature including The Secret Garden, Anne of Green Gables, The Call of the Wild, and Julius Caesar. Weekly reading guides, creative worksheets, and lively discussions will help students strengthen reading comprehension, expand their vocabulary, and sharpen their speaking and writing skills. Focused writing assignments and interactive activities keep learning dynamic and meaningful. Our vocabulary development course is designed to build confident readers, articulate speakers, and thoughtful communicators — preparing students not just for school success, but for a lifetime of learning and leadership.
Words Matter
Better understand the power of words!
In this engaging course for students in middle school and above, we will use a mixture of direct instruction and the Socratic method, to explore the origins, meanings, and modern uses (and misuses) of words we hear every day—like 'fair,' 'rights,' 'empathy,' and ‘democracy.’
This course will prepare students to be skeptical, thoughtful consumers of mass media, as well as more precise and thoughtful in their writing and conversations about difficult topics!

The Fallacy Detective Course is a six-week course designed to help middle school students (grades 6-8) learn about the most common logical fallacies they’ll come across in their daily lives, on social media, in advertisements, and even in arguments amongst peers! Ideal for students who want to improve their ability to differentiate fact from fiction, narrative from news, argument from opinion!
