About Words Matter:

Words Matter is a small‑group discussion course for high school students that explores how language shapes thought, influences society, and frames reality. Students will examine key words used in public discourse, compare perspectives, and practice questioning assumptions.

Space is limited to 8 students per section. For Fall 2025, families may choose between:

• Sunday Evenings: 7:00–8:00 PM Eastern

• Wednesday Mornings: 10:00–11:00 AM Eastern

Deposit and Payment Policy:
IMPORTANT: Please choose Words Matter from the subject drop‑down to ensure you are registering for this course.

When you submit this form, a non‑refundable $45 deposit will be charged to your credit card for each student you enroll. This deposit holds your student’s seat and covers the cost of the first week’s class. The card used for this deposit will also be stored on file for future class payments. Your registration constitutes a commitment for at least four weeks and you will be charged accordingly each week.

After completing the form, you’ll receive an email invitation to our TutorBird Parent Portal. There, you can:

• View your class schedule on the interactive calendar

• See invoices and billing information

• Update your credit card or profile information anytime

Your registration is for the next available unit start date. If you register between unit start dates, your student will begin with the following unit. Students may continue from unit to unit without interruption if they wish, or may discontinue at the end of any unit.

Fall 2025 – Sunday Evenings (7:00–8:00 PM ET)

• Unit 1: Sept 7 – Sept 28

• Unit 2: Oct 5 – Oct 26

• Unit 3: Nov 2 – Nov 30 (No class Nov 23 – Thanksgiving Break)

Fall 2025 – Wednesday Mornings (10:00–11:00 AM ET)

• Unit 1: Sept 10 – Oct 1

• Unit 2: Oct 8 – Oct 29

• Unit 3: Nov 5 – Dec 3 (No class Nov 26 – Thanksgiving Week)

All units rotate back around in the spring, so if your student misses a unit, they will have the opportunity to take it later in the school year.

We’re offering two Words Matter sections for Fall 2025. Please select the time that works best for your family:

• Sunday Evenings: 7:00–8:00 PM Eastern – Best for students who prefer an evening class.

• Wednesday Mornings: 10:00–11:00 AM Eastern – Best for homeschoolers or students with flexible schedules.

When filling out the registration form, be sure to select Words Matter from the Subject drop‑down and the correct day/time from the Choose Your Section Dropdown so we can place your student in the right section.
