Why This Course Matters
Strong readers aren’t just fluent—they’re thoughtful and ready to tackle complex ideas. In this course, students work closely with a tutor to choose novels or short stories that challenge them intellectually and expand their reading stamina. Rather than defaulting to familiar favorites, students are gently guided toward texts that stretch their vocabulary, introduce them to classic themes, and deepen their capacity for close reading.

With one-on-one support, students build the habits of careful analysis and thoughtful discussion that encourage active thinking and logical reasoning.
